Popular TikToker Arrested Over Boyfriend’s Mysterious Death

The Kano State Police Command has taken a popular TikTok content creator, Fati Cele, into custody following the death of her boyfriend, Isma’il Makaye, at her residence in the Danbare area of Kano State.

According to official police sources, the social media personality is currently being detained while authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. The command’s spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the arrest but declined to disclose additional details, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.

Reports indicate that an alarm was raised from Cele’s residence after an alleged fire incident. Makaye was subsequently rushed to Nassarawa Hospital for medical attention but was later pronounced dead.

The deceased, a cosmetics trader based in the Hotoro Tishama area of Kano, was laid to rest at Unguwa Uku Yan Awaki after his remains were released to his family for burial.

Further information suggests that officers attached to the Dorayi Babba Police Division took the TikToker into custody as investigators continue to examine the events leading to Makaye’s death.

Meanwhile, the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, has ordered the immediate closure of Stephrica Guest Palace Hotel located in Kureken Sani, Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state.

The directive was executed through the Kano Emirate Council under the supervision of the Galadiman Kano, Aliyu Ibrahim Matawalle, following a series of complaints lodged by residents over activities allegedly associated with the facility.

Sources familiar with the development disclosed that multiple petitions from members of the host community prompted the council to review the situation before deciding to shut down the hotel.

The Emirate Council explained that the action was taken in response to growing community concerns and as part of measures aimed at preserving peace and maintaining public order in the area.
