Rapists Should Be Castrated And Set On Fire – Simi

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian Afrobeats singer Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has called for severe punitive measures against individuals found guilty of rape, amid rising reports of sexual assault across the country.

In a recent social media post, Simi urged citizens and authorities to take decisive action to end sexual violence against women. She advocated that perpetrators of rape should be castrated and executed by fire, emphasizing the urgent need for accountability.

The singer explained that her appeal stems from personal experience, noting that almost every woman she knows has faced sexual assault at some point in their lives. She stressed that concerns over false rape accusations should not prevent victims from speaking out.

Simi further condemned the lack of safety for women, calling on men to hold their peers accountable and address the societal conditions that enable sexual violence. In her post, she wrote:

“I’m sickkk of this. STOP RAPING WOMEN. They need to castrate rapists and burn them. Almost every woman I know personally has been sexually assaulted at some point in their lives. You can’t think it’s okay to shut people up from speaking up about assault because some people lie… Women are terrified to go out. Women in their homes are not safe either… STOP RAPING WOMEN!!”
