Remi Surutu Declares Support For Tinubu Ahead Of 2027 Elections

According to reports, actress Remi Surutu has publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 general election. The announcement was made during the launch of EKO57, a support group aimed at mobilizing public backing for the president’s re-election bid.

Speaking at the event, Surutu emphasized her long-standing support for Tinubu, dating back to his tenure as governor. She addressed past criticisms, noting that despite public pressure and personal attacks, she maintained her commitment to voting and campaigning for him.

“I have said it myself, I am not backing out. I am going to campaign for him and vote for him. And he has my vote,” she said, urging voters not to be intimidated or misled. Surutu also defended the president’s leadership, attributing the country’s challenges to the actions and attitudes of citizens rather than governmental inefficiency.

The actress praised Tinubu’s dedication to governance, highlighting his and his family’s active engagement in national affairs. She added, “This man does not sleep. The wife is always travelling, and the son is constantly on the move. How many politicians have you seen with such dedication?”
