Rivers APC Leaders In Ahoada West Declare Support For Wike
According to Ireporter Online, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State has pledged to align itself with the directives of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as the 2027 general elections draw near.
The commitment was made by the APC chairman in Ahoada West, Rejoice Otobo, during Wike’s “thank you” visit to the area on Sunday. Otobo emphasized the party’s readiness to follow Wike’s guidance, highlighting the developmental achievements the minister delivered during his tenure as governor.
“We await your instructions for the 2027 elections. Wherever you ask us to go, there we shall go; whatever you ask us to do, we will do. All residents of this LGA have agreed that we will follow your lead,” Otobo stated.
In a parallel expression of support, Ikechukwu Obuzor, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the LGA, reiterated his party’s loyalty to Wike. “We are firmly with you. Be assured that in 2027, Ahoada West will stand with you entirely,” Obuzor said.
Earlier during the visit, Ahoada West LGA Chairman Chita Eugene described Wike as “the political field marshal of the South-South,” commending the projects he brought to Rivers State during his governorship. Eugene noted that the visit represented not only a courtesy call but also a celebration of Wike’s effective leadership and public service.
Additionally, Representative Victor Obuzor of Awelga‑ONELGA Federal Constituency praised Wike’s contributions to Rivers State, asserting that the minister deserves widespread support for his transformative initiatives.
