Safeguard ‘Behind The Scenes’ From Piracy, Funke Akindele Appeals To Fans

The Nollywood star stressed that both direct and indirect piracy could negatively affect the film’s success, urging supporters to help preserve the integrity of the project by spreading the message among friends and family. She noted that the movie, which premiered in cinemas on December 12, delves into the emotional challenges and hidden realities that often accompany success and fame.

Akindele further revealed that the film was inspired by a divine message and features a strong ensemble cast that includes Tobi Bakre, Iyabo Ojo, Scarlet Gomez and Ini Dima-Okojie.

In a message to her fans, the filmmaker encouraged cinema patrons to share reviews and take photos at promotional stands but cautioned against recording any part of the movie during screenings. She described such acts, even when clips are brief, as a form of piracy that undermines the hard work invested in the production.
