Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has declared that Nigerians are growing increasingly frustrated with the poor governance under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Saraki pointed to the large turnout of Kwara residents during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) membership registration as a clear sign that the people are eager for change and a government that will ease their suffering.

Speaking on Saturday, the former Kwara State governor applauded citizens who participated in the PDP’s registration exercise despite unfavourable weather conditions.

He encouraged more people across the state to join the party in a bid to reclaim leadership and deliver good governance.

He stated:
“As the PDP registration commenced, thousands turned out — young and old — enduring heavy rain to register, demonstrating their desire to be part of a cause greater than themselves.

“While such moments might be easy to overlook, what stood out to me was not just the size of the crowd, but what it represented: a deep and shared hunger for change from the current style of governance.

“This shows a fundamental truth — real transformation is a result of consistent, collective action. It’s the story of everyday citizens choosing to participate and believing in a better Kwara.

“This exercise is more than just signing up for a party; it’s an invitation to be part of a people-driven movement still unfolding.

“If you feel that call for change, I urge you to act — visit your ward centre and register. A brighter future for Kwara isn’t just a dream; it requires our action, starting now.”
