Sh*cking Confession: Veteran Actor Reveals Wife’s Paternity Claim About Their Kids
Veteran Nigerian actor Abdul Salam Taofeek, popularly known as Tioruju Mondusi, has recounted what he described as the most painful experience of his life, linked to his late wife and a series of marital crises that later escalated into legal proceedings.
According to IReporter Online, Mondusi made the revelation during an interview on the African A-List podcast, where he was asked if there was anyone who had deeply hurt him and remained unforgiven. The actor disclosed that the incident involved his late wife, whom he described as the source of his deepest emotional pain, adding that she has since passed away.
He explained that the episode occurred about five years ago when he returned from a film location and could not find his wife at home, despite her being nine months pregnant with their fifth child at the time. Mondusi said he was unable to reach her for two days until she later contacted him but allegedly refused to disclose her whereabouts.
The actor further alleged that he later discovered his wife had performed an introduction ceremony with another man who was already married with children. He claimed the revelation came after he visited her mother’s house, where he reportedly saw photographic evidence confirming the ceremony.
Mondusi stated that tensions escalated when he confronted her, adding that she returned home and questioned his claim over the pregnancy. He further alleged that after she gave birth, she requested to hold the naming ceremony at his residence despite previously stating that the child was not his.
He said his refusal to allow the ceremony in his home led to the arrest of his wife, the other man, and an associate who allegedly came to plead on their behalf. The disagreement, according to him, eventually resulted in his wife filing for divorce in court.
Mondusi also alleged that during court proceedings, his wife admitted that two of their children were not his and confessed to a long-standing relationship with the other man. He added that the situation deeply affected him and permanently altered their relationship.
The actor further claimed that his late wife later died last year after being abandoned by the man she allegedly left him for, stating that the man, who is from Ijebu in Ogun State, refused to take responsibility due to his existing marriage.
