She Needs Help, Not Hate — Ms DSF Raises Mental Health Concerns Over TikToker Mirabel

Nigerian disc jockey Dorcas Shola Fapson, widely known as Ms Dsf, has weighed in on the controversy surrounding a TikTok user identified as Mirabel, following a series of allegations that sparked widespread reactions across social media.

According to reports, the controversy began when Mirabel, who operates the TikTok handle @mirab351, uploaded videos claiming she was sexually assaulted in her apartment in Ogijo, Ogun State. The videos quickly gained traction online, with hashtags such as #StopRapingWomen trending and igniting calls from members of the public for a thorough investigation and justice.

Authorities later clarified that Mirabel was not taken into custody. Security sources confirmed that she voluntarily reported the alleged incident and was subsequently taken to a medical facility for evaluation. The Ogun State Police Command stated that investigations remain ongoing, with available evidence under review to ascertain the facts of the case.

However, the situation took a dramatic turn after Mirabel released a viral audio message retracting portions of her earlier claims. In the recording, she admitted that aspects of her story were untrue and offered an apology to the public for the confusion caused. Following the retraction, police authorities disclosed plans to initiate legal proceedings against her for allegedly providing false information, once she is discharged from medical care.

Reacting to the development, Ms Dsf revealed that she initially questioned the credibility of the allegations when the videos first surfaced. The entertainer suggested that there were inconsistencies in the claims and expressed the opinion that the TikTok user may be dealing with mental health challenges that require professional attention, while also stating that appropriate penalties should apply where necessary.
