Silver Or Gold We Do Not Have: Ilorin Emirate’s Student Union Fast And Prays For Saliu Mustapha(Photos)

Fasting is not just all about foregoing foods or abstaining from some intimate and social relationship, public engagements or even entertainment purposes.

It is also an act that involves purification, focusing on spirituality and humility. The sacrificial elements of fasting always incur eternal benefits.

As the race for the APC national Chairmanship seat gets tougher, The Ilorin Emirate Student’s Union (IESU) has held a special spiritual session of fasting and prayers in order for God to render grace upon APC frontline aspirant, Mallam Saliu Mustapha to emerge as the next ruling party’s national chairman.

According to the President of the Union, Abdulwaheed Abdulsalam Kajola not only is Mustapha a good man and friend to the body and the Emirate, but he also described him as a great philanthropist who has contributed greatly to Kwarans and Nigerians at large.

“We do not have money to give Mallam Saliu Mustapha, neither do we know the delegates that will vote to make him emerge the winner. But we’ve prayed and fasted, and we believe in their potency.

Mallam (Mustapha) has been wonderful to us as an organization and to the generality of our community. He deserves all the support he can get and we’re more than glad to render it.” He stated.

Mallam Saliu Mustapha who happens to be the Turaki of Ilorin is the chairman of the Saliu Mustapha Foundation, SMF a foundation that is saddled with the responsibility of offering humanitarian services to thousands of Nigerians yearly.
