Sokoto Army Bombing: Matawalle Provides ₦10 Million To Affected Individuals

to ensure justice for the victims. Expressing his condolences over the devastation caused by the airstrike in the villages of Gidan Bisa and Runtuwa, Matawalle announced a donation of ₦10 million to assist those affected.

He made these remarks during his visit to the two villages on Friday, accompanied by Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu.

In response, Governor Aliyu commended the military for their ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and banditry in the area. He emphasized the necessity for enhanced intelligence and surveillance to prevent similar incidents in the future and praised the President for the progress made in addressing national security concerns.

“While I appreciate the relentless work of the military and security agencies against banditry, I urge a stronger focus on intelligence and surveillance to avoid such tragic mistakes. Sokoto State is committed to ensuring the safety of all its citizens,” Governor Aliyu stated.

He expressed gratitude for the President’s support in strengthening security measures throughout the state, calling for continued collaboration to foster a safer environment. He concluded with prayers for the souls of the departed and for protection against future tragedies.
