According to Ireporter Online, global music sensation BTS has officially returned as a full group, ending a nearly four-year hiatus prompted by mandatory military service. The septet released their highly anticipated fifth studio album, ARIRANG, on March 20, 2026, marking a moment fans are calling both a comeback and a cultural milestone.

The album, named after Korea’s most iconic folk anthem, features 14 tracks that fuse traditional Korean elements with contemporary pop sounds. The lead single, “Swim,” has already broken streaming records on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. Collaborations with prominent artists including Ryan Tedder and Tame Impala lend the record a sound that is simultaneously nostalgic and futuristic, showcasing the group’s growth and creative evolution during their time away.

BTS celebrated their return with a massive, free live event at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square, which was streamed globally on Netflix. This performance also served as a prelude to the upcoming Arirang World Tour, set to begin in April and span 34 cities worldwide. The tour is expected to be among the highest-grossing musical events in history, reaffirming the group’s unparalleled influence on the global music landscape.

In addition, a Netflix documentary titled BTS: The Return, scheduled for release on March 27, will provide an intimate look at the members’ journey from military discharge to studio recording. As RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook reenter the spotlight, ARIRANG stands as a testament to their resilience, creativity, and enduring connection with their worldwide fanbase.
