Tinubu Approve Palliative Routing Through Religious And Traditional Leaders

President Bola Tinubu has given the go-ahead for 20% of palliatives to be distributed through religious organizations and traditional institutions across Nigeria. Shettima addressed concerns raised by the Imam of Bayero University, Kano, about the exclusion of traditional and religious leaders from palliative distribution. He confirmed Tinubu’s approval, stating that food interventions would target Tsangaya schools, mission schools, and other religious institutions.

Furthermore, Shettima announced that 20% of funds allocated for the School Feeding Programme would be directed through the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning to religious bodies. He assured transparent and efficient disbursement, involving all relevant stakeholders.

The initiative aims to enhance nutrition nationwide, with a call to faith and traditional leaders to lead the charge within their communities
