According to Ireporter Online, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held separate, high-level closed-door meetings on Friday with the governors of Kaduna, Benue, and Cross River states at the State House, Abuja. The consultations come amid ongoing security challenges and governance concerns affecting the three regions.
The governors – Uba Sani of Kaduna, Hyacinth Alia of Benue, and Bassey Otu of Cross River – met individually with the President to discuss matters reportedly centered on the mounting security threats and economic pressures in their states. While the Presidency did not provide an official statement on the discussions, sources familiar with the meetings revealed that these issues were the primary focus.
After the engagements, the governors did not speak to the media. They briefly acknowledged reporters with greetings but refrained from commenting as they left the State House.
