Tinubu Taps Louis Odion, Ummasalma For FCCPC Roles

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated Louis Odion as Executive Commissioner for Operations and Ummasalma Isiyaku Rabiu as Executive Commissioner for Corporate Services at the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

According to iReporter Online, the President’s special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, made this disclosure in a statement on Wednesday.

The nominations are, according to iReporter Online, subject to Senate confirmation under the provisions of the FCCPC Act, 2018. The statement notes that Odion, from Edo State, is a veteran journalist and former Senior Technical Assistant to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Media, having also served as Commissioner for Information in Edo State.

He holds two Master’s degrees—one in Modern War Studies from the University of Buckingham, UK, and the other in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.

Ummasalma Rabiu, 35, from Kano State, founded the Usir Foundation, a non-profit organisation focused on empowering underprivileged individuals and communities through education, skills development, and humanitarian initiatives.

According to iReporter Online, she holds a degree in Business Administration and has gained a reputation as a committed grassroots politician, championing inclusive governance and promoting youth and women’s political participation.
