Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has officially unveiled the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, a new initiative designed to identify, nurture and empower the next generation of African music talents.

According to Ireporter Online, the award-winning singer announced the launch on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in Lagos, outlining plans to deliver structured, world-class music education to aspiring creatives across the continent.

Speaking at the unveiling, Tiwa explained that the foundation is not solely focused on grooming singers and on-stage performers but is also committed to spotlighting the wide range of career opportunities that exist behind the scenes in the music industry. She noted that the goal is to broaden young people’s understanding of the diverse and sustainable career paths available within music beyond the spotlight.

The foundation’s inaugural project is a strategic collaboration with the prestigious Berklee College of Music, her alma mater. The initiative, titled “Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Programme,” is scheduled to hold in Lagos from April 23 to 26, 2026.

The four-day, tuition-free intensive programme will select 100 participants for immersive training sessions covering live performance, songwriting, music production, and the business aspects of the music industry. While tuition costs will be fully covered, selected participants will be responsible for their travel and accommodation expenses within Lagos. Applications close on March 20, 2026.

Describing the initiative as deeply personal, Tiwa, who studied at Berklee before rising to global prominence, said the programme represents a meaningful way of giving back and creating access for emerging talents.

The intensive training will conclude with a live showcase featuring original works by participants, highlighting a fusion of global sounds and West African influences. A closing ceremony will follow, during which scholarships will be presented to outstanding participants.

With the launch of the foundation, Tiwa Savage is not only cementing her legacy in the global music scene but also making a significant investment in the future of African music.
