According to Ireporter Online, the Deputy Governor of the Financial System Stability Directorate at the Central Bank of Nigeria, Philip Ikeazor, is expected to lead a major discussion on financial inclusion and economic growth at the 2025 conference of the Financial Markets Dealers Association (FMDA). The conference, scheduled for next Thursday at the Federal Palace Hotel & Casino in Victoria Island, Lagos, will bring together leading figures in Nigeria’s financial sector.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of First Bank of Nigeria, Olusegun Alebiosu, and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Wema Bank, Moruf Oseni, are also billed to speak. Alebiosu will address strategies for strengthening market confidence through transparency and accountability, while Oseni will focus on the growing impact of digital transformation within financial services.

Other experts expected at the event include the Central Bank’s Director of Risk Management, Dr. Blaise Ijebor; the Director of Strategy & Innovation Management, Mrs. Monsurat Vincent; and the Chair of the ACI Financial Markets Association, Roy Daniels. Dr. Ijebor will deliver insights on risk management and cybersecurity in financial markets, while Mrs. Vincent will examine regulatory frameworks that support innovation.

FMDA President, Anwuli Femi-Pearse, explained that the conference theme, “Future-Proofing Nigeria’s Financial System: Policy, Technology and Market Confidence,” underscores the critical forces driving the evolution of financial markets. She noted that robust policies and technological advancement remain central to efficient market operations and seamless investment services.

Chief Executive Officer of FMDA, Fisayo Fatade, added that the gathering would provide a vital platform for regulators, investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to explore the future of Nigeria’s financial markets and the transformative role of technology.
