Trending: Ovia Residents Hails Dennis Idahosa Over New Federal College Of Education

Residents of Edo State’s Ovia Federal Constituency are celebrating the handover of the former College of Education, Ekiadolor, to the Federal Government of Nigeria as the location for the new Federal College of Education (Technical).

The event is scheduled for today, April 28th, 2022.

Since then, citizens have been pouring appreciation on Hon Dennis Idahosa, the member representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, for his efforts in making today a reality.

Recall that the Federal Government announced the establishment of a Federal College of Education at Ekiadolor in Edo State’s Ovia North-East Local Government Area.

The Federal Government’s declaration prompted elation and jubilation, especially since it came at a time when the current State College of Education at Ekiadolor appears to be dormant.

However, the massive project, which was expected to begin in January 2021, has yet to begin. In a proactive response to the project’s delay, the young lawmaker, Hon Dennis Idahosa, informed the Ministry of Education about the likely delay in the project’s kick-off.

The Federal Lawmaker questioned the project’s delay in taking off in a letter dated February 10, 2021, and reminded the Ministry of Education of the significant benefits the project would bring to the people of Ovia and Edo State in general.

As we speak, Ovia citizens have taken over their social media handles in appreciation of the lawmaker’s ever-vigorous attempts to alleviate their predicament. They are truly appreciative of his tireless efforts in raising Ovia to a higher level.
