Trump Says Viral Video Showing Obamas As Monkeys ‘Not A Mistake

According to reports, United States President Donald Trump has insisted that a video portraying former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama as monkeys was not shared in error. The clip was initially posted on Trump’s official Truth Social account before being removed.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Friday, Trump maintained that he did not view the entire video before sharing it and does not consider an apology necessary. He explained that he focused on the initial portion, which discussed alleged voter fraud in election machines, and shared it to inform the public.

“I didn’t make a mistake. I didn’t see the whole thing. I looked at the first part, and it was really about voter fraud in the machines, how crooked it is, how disgusting it is. Then I gave it to the people. Generally, they look at the whole thing. But I guess somebody didn’t,” Trump said. When asked if he condemned the video’s content, he replied, “Of course I do.”

The video drew widespread condemnation. California Governor Gavin Newsom described it on X as “disgusting behaviour” and urged all Republicans to denounce it immediately. Political commentator Harry Sisson labelled the post as “incredibly racist and disgusting,” adding that it was “beneath the office of the presidency” and should be condemned by all Americans.
