Umahi Declares: South East Will Shower Tinubu With Overwhelming Votes in 2027 for His ‘Genuine Love’

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has assured that the entire South East will return President Bola Tinubu’s unwavering support for Ndigbo with massive votes in the 2027 general elections.

According to reports, Umahi, through a statement issued by his Special Adviser, Orji Uchenna Orji, on Friday, described President Tinubu’s recent visit to the South East as a strong display of his inclusive leadership style.

He thanked the President for placing the South East at the forefront of national development under the Renewed Hope administration, emphasizing that Tinubu’s policies are not just promises, but are being actively implemented.

Quoting Tinubu’s remarks during his visit, Umahi highlighted the President’s words: “Anambra has huge potential, and with Soludo, we can all work together to fast-track the vision. We will continue to partner with your state to deliver shared prosperity to Ndi Anambra and all Nigerians.”

Umahi stated that the people of Anambra State and the South East as a whole are appreciative of the President’s commitment, and will, in turn, honour him at the polls in 2027.

He added: “We are grateful to Mr. President for placing priority on South East development within the national framework and ensuring its actualisation through concrete policy actions.”

Highlighting Tinubu’s vision, he further quoted the President as saying: “We are working to build critical infrastructure — roads, rail, and power — and ensure that every corner of Nigeria, including Anambra, feels the impact of governance that works. The Presidential Power Initiative and the ongoing digital economy drive will open more doors for the resourceful people of this state.”
