President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Muslims across the country to embody and promote peace, compassion, and justice in all aspects of life.

According to reports, the President also reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to tackling Nigeria’s security issues.

Speaking on Friday in Abeokuta, Ogun State, at the opening ceremony of the 11th Triennial National Conference of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ASN), Tinubu, represented by Ogun State Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele, praised the organization’s leadership and described it as a vital force in Nigeria’s development journey.

“First, I extend my sincere appreciation to the leadership of this distinguished society, especially the President, Alhaji (Dr.) Abdul-Rafiu Ademola Sanni, and the National Executive Council, for their unwavering dedication in preserving the founding values of Ansar-Ud-Deen,” Tinubu said.

He also reflected on the longstanding relationship between his family and the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, a bond he said he continues to cherish deeply. Highlighting the society’s century-long contributions to Islamic education and community upliftment, Tinubu noted the establishment of schools, health centers, and the promotion of spiritual and social values.

In his address, ASN President Abdul-Rafiu Sanni described the event as a reaffirmation of their shared commitment to unity, faith, and humanitarian service. “We are here to strengthen our dedication to educational progress, moral guidance, and national unity,” he said.

Meanwhile, in his goodwill message, the Secretary-General of the National Council of Islamic Affairs and JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, urged Muslims to be patient and understanding toward those with limited religious knowledge.

“Instead of condemnation, we should focus on guiding them with wisdom and compassion,” Oloyede advised.
