US & Israel Strike Oil Facilities Near Tehran — 4 Dead, Smoke Over City

According to Ireporter Online, the United States and Israel conducted overnight air strikes on multiple oil facilities in and around Tehran, Iran, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and causing significant damage to critical energy infrastructure.

The attacks reportedly targeted several fuel depots and a petroleum transport centre in Tehran and the neighboring Alborz province. Keramat Veyskarami, Chief Executive Officer of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, confirmed the incident during an interview with Iranian state television.

“Last night, four oil depots and a petroleum products transport centre in Tehran and Alborz were attacked by enemy aircraft,” Veyskarami said. He confirmed that four personnel, including two oil tanker drivers, lost their lives in the strikes. Emergency responders were able to contain fires at the affected facilities, although visible smoke continued to hang over Tehran on Sunday morning, accompanied by reports of a strong smell of burning across the city.

Despite the disruption, Veyskarami assured citizens that Iran’s fuel supply remained stable, emphasizing that oil depots held sufficient gasoline reserves.

The strikes come amid escalating hostilities involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. On February 28, similar air attacks claimed the life of Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, intensifying the regional conflict. Iran has since carried out missile and drone attacks against American and Israeli interests, further raising tensions across the Middle East.
