Minna armed robbery

According to Ireporter Online, the Niger State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has recovered a vehicle allegedly abandoned by suspected armed robbers who attacked a bank customer and made away with more than ₦10 million in Minna, the state capital.

The incident reportedly occurred along Shiroro Road and was captured by a closed-circuit television camera installed at a nearby restaurant. The victim, identified as David Emmanuel Adebayo, disclosed that he had earlier withdrawn ₦5 million from Wema Bank before proceeding to TAJBank, where he made an additional withdrawal of ₦3 million.

Adebayo explained that after completing the banking transactions at about 2 p.m. on Friday, he drove to Iya Femi Restaurant located along Shiroro Road, unaware that he had allegedly been trailed by the attackers from the bank premises.

Reports indicate that the suspected robbers confronted him at the location and forcefully took possession of the cash. However, during the struggle that followed, the victim reportedly managed to seize one of the rifles wielded by the assailants and fired at one of the suspects. The injured suspect is said to have fled the scene with gunshot wounds.
