According to Ireporter Online, West Ham United have completed the signing of winger Adama Traore from Fulham in a cut-price January transfer as the club intensifies its rebuilding efforts during a busy winter window.

The 30-year-old attacker makes the move across London to link up once again with manager Nuno Espirito Santo, under whom he previously worked during his spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers. The deal is understood to be worth an initial £1 million, with performance-related add-ons potentially increasing the total fee to £2 million. Traore has signed a contract running until the end of the current season, with an option for a further year.

Traore, an eight-time Spain international, struggled for regular playing time at Fulham this season, managing just two Premier League starts. He was also omitted from the matchday squad for Fulham’s recent home victory over Brighton.

Speaking after completing the move, Traore expressed his excitement about the new challenge, stating that he is eager to give his best for the team and demonstrate his qualities on the pitch. He added that his mindset remains focused on constant improvement, embracing challenges, and helping the club achieve its objectives through belief and hard work.

The winger’s final appearance for Fulham came earlier this month during their FA Cup win over Middlesbrough. His career began at Barcelona before spells at Aston Villa and Middlesbrough, with his most productive period in English football coming at Wolves. He joined Fulham on a free transfer in 2023 but found consistent opportunities hard to come by.

West Ham have been among the most active clubs in the Premier League this January, having already reinforced their attack with the signings of Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente for £20 million and Taty Castellanos from Lazio for £25.2 million.

Further changes to the squad are also expected, with the club in talks over the possible sale of Lucas Paqueta to Flamengo. The Hammers have already sanctioned the departures of Guido Rodriguez to Valencia and Luis Guilherme to Sporting, while German forward Niclas Fullkrug has joined AC Milan on loan.
