President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday sacked the Minister of Agriculture, Mohammed Sabo Nanono and Minister of Power Mamman Saleh.

The duo was replaced with the Ministers of Environment, Mohammed Mahmoud Abubakar and State, Works and Housing, Abubakar Aliyu.

The sack of the two ministers is coming two years and few days after they were inaugurated by the President in 2019 with 41 others.

The two sacked Ministers were the first to be sacked by the President since he assumed office in 2015.

· Mohammed Sabo Nanono

Alhaji Muhammad Sabo Nanono was born in Gabasawa Local government area of Kano State on April 11, 1946.

He attended Zakirai and Gwarzo primary schools, Birnin kudu Secondary school, Government College Kano and proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained Bachelor Degree in Business Administration in 1972.

In 1977, he obtained his Master’s Degree in public policy and Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Madison USA.

Also, Alhaji Muhammad Sabo Nanono attended an Advanced Management Course at Harvard Business School, Boston Massachusetts In 1994.

He was a university lecturer, civil servant, a banker who rose to the position of Managing Director of African International Bank (AIB), Village Head of Tofai in Gabasawa and a farmer.

Mamman Kwagyang Saleh was born on January 2, 1958, is Minister of Power.

Saleh is from Taraba State. He holds a higher national diploma in electrical electronics from Kaduna Polytechnic, graduating in 1988.

He also hold an MBA in business administration from Bayero University Kano, graduating in 2015.

Saleh started his career in 1981 as a teacher in Technical School, Mubi, Adamawa State. In 1992, he transferred his service to Taraba State.

He was promoted to the rank of assistant director in the ministry of works in Taraba State and retired in 2002.
