According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has described his marriage as a divine arrangement, stressing that choosing one wife is the secret to a peaceful and fulfilled life. The veteran artiste shared this during a recent appearance on the Olofix podcast, where he reflected on his two-decade-long union and the values that have shaped it.

Abdulkareem, who is 51, said he believes his wife was specially prepared for him by God, adding that it would make no sense for him to allow another woman to bear a child for him. He recounted how their bond deepened after she donated one of her kidneys to save his life, describing the act as a powerful confirmation of the spiritual foundation of their marriage.

The ‘Mr Lecturer’ singer narrated how he met his wife on September 18, 2003, and married her the following year, insisting that every step he took was guided by divine instruction. “God gave me my own wife, not another person’s wife,” he said, questioning why he would jeopardize such a gift by considering another woman.

While acknowledging that both African tradition and Islam allow polygamy, Abdulkareem maintained that loving multiple women equally is unrealistic. He argued that any man seeking a long, peaceful, and sweet life should ensure that only one woman bears his children and anchors his home.
