If Not For Godwin Obaseki There Would Be No Oshiomhole – Don Pedro Obaseki



APC chieftain and former gubernatorial aspirant in EDO 2016 elections, Don Pedro Obaseki has reacted to the lingering political crisis between the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole and the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, stating clearly that Obaseki made Oshiomhole.

Don Pedro Obaseki in a TV interview monitored by our correspondent, revealed the role Godwin Obaseki played in the emergence of Adams Oshiomhole as the executive Governor of Edo State in 2008.

Don Pedro Obaseki stated clearly that Adams Oshiomhole actually confirmed at a public reception that Godwin Obaseki was instrumental in raising the first tranche of campaign funds from the corporate community.

Don Pedro Obaseki wondered why Adams Oshiomhole who was the progenitor of the one man one vote mantra can suddenly turn around and play God over the very things he fought against.

Pedro Obaseki who himself was a part of the no-man is God struggle was quoted as saying. “Oshiomhole who was a protagonist in that free the people from godfatherism is now the antagonist in the new power play, you begin to wonder what is happening, it is  as if it was some form of a reverse osmosis where those who were slinging the guns once upon a time appears to have lost out in a new political game”

Don Pedro Obaseki stated that the June 17th proclamation letter was actually a political liberation from the shackles of godfatherism.

Quoting Adams Oshiomhole, Don Pedro Obaseki said “Whatever Successes my govt has made were due to the ingenuity of Godwin Obaseki” and that was the reason against all odds Oshiomhole supported him.

In conclusion, Don Pedro Obaseki made it clear that  If Not For Godwin Obaseki There Would Be No Oshiomhole.
