JOHESU :OOI Initiative visits Kubwa General hospital ,gives cash donations to patients
The OOI Initiative yesterday paid a visit to the Kubwa General Hospital in FCT,Abuja.
The initiative was represented by the Abuja Deputy Coordinator OOI Initiative and also a house of Representative aspirant for Itu/Ibiono Ibom Constituency ,Akwa Ibom state,Comrade John Ibout.
Comrade John Ibout and members of the Initiative visited the Children’s unit as well as the emergency unit and other Units at the General Hospital.
He expressed dismay over the state of affairs at the hospital due to the ongoing strike called by the Joint Health Sector Unions, JOHESU.
Patients were seen all over writhing in agony at the hospital as doctors and other staff of the hospital turned back patients.
It was observed that the hospital was partially working and only the emergency unit was attending to few patients.
Oxygen was not in supply at the hospital and major facilities could not be accessed by patients.
Comrade Ibout and his team who took time to go round the different wards gave out some cash donations and also settled some medical bills of the patients who were helpless and hapless while calling on Nigerians to reach out to patients who are suffering similar plights in the country’s general hospitals Nationwide due to the ongoing strike.
Responding some beneficiaries thanked Comrade Ibout and his team for making out time to identify with them at their hour of crisis and prayed for the OOI Initiative to accomplish its set down goals and objectives.
Nigeria Deserves better and we owe it a duty to our ourselves and our children in making it better.
