Omo-Agege Defeats Senate Strong Man Ekweremadu To Emerge Deputy Senate President


 

Delta Central senator Ovie Omo-Agege has emerged as Deputy senate president for the 9th national assembly.

Omo-Agege polled a total of 68 votes to defeat former deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who got 37 votes.

The election of Omo-Agege followed the election of Ahmed Lawan as president of the 9th senate.
