BREAKING: Fresh Appointment Made In DSS (DETAILS)
The Department of State Services (DSS) has officially established a new Directorate of Public Relations and Strategic Communications (DPRSC). This development was initiated by the Director General, Yusuf Bichi, and the department will be led by the former Public Relations Officer of the DSS, Peter Afunanya.
The creation of the Directorate is a significant step towards maintaining open communication with citizens and the wider public, while also fostering democratic governance, transparency, and accountability.
As of September 26, 2023, Peter Nnochirionye Afunanya, Ph.D., fsi, has been appointed as the supervising Director, responsible for overseeing the Service’s public communications.
The statement also expressed appreciation for the initiative of the Director General, Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi CFR, fwc, in expanding and appointing Afunanya to lead the Directorate.
