BREAKING: Surprise As Alake Reveals Those Sponsoring Banditry In Nigeria
The Minister of Solid Minerals, Mr. Dele Alake, has asserted that foreign illegal miners are providing financial support to banditry activities in Nigeria.
He made this statement while addressing state house correspondents shortly after the Federal Executive Council meeting at the State House in Abuja on Monday.

Furthermore, he assured that his ministry is taking proactive measures to introduce advanced technologies into the mining sector in order to address this challenge and ensure that Nigeria derives maximum benefits from the solid minerals sector.
He explained that his ministry is collaborating with the Nigerian armed forces and other security agencies to enhance security in areas abundant with solid minerals across the country.
Alake also revealed that the Federal Executive Council has sanctioned a preliminary policy document on the solid minerals sector, which outlines strategies for the efficient utilization of the country’s mineral resources.
He expressed confidence that solid minerals will soon emerge as a significant source of funding for the country’s budget.
