Consistency is not just an action; it’s a principle that forms the bedrock of significant achievements. As the ancient proverb wisely states, ‘Consistent drops of water can wear away the stone.’ In the realm of public service, the value of consistency manifests profoundly in individuals dedicated to tirelessly working for the betterment of the masses.
Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, a former NLC president and ex-Governor of Edo State, has unequivocally demonstrated that one can steadfastly champion the cause of the masses while occupying a high-ranking governmental position.
After leaving the NLC, Adams Oshiomhole became the executive governor of Edo State, where he performed meritoriously, even earning the adoration of his detractors. It is also on record that, as an executive governor, he joined the NLC in a protest in Abuja in response to worker injustice in Nigeria.
Again, that is a gist for another day for an executive governor to leave the luxuries of Government House to protest outside in the sun.
In his role as a senator, Adams Oshiomhole remains a tireless advocate for the Nigerian masses. Observing his conduct on the floor of the Red Chambers, one might mistakenly assume Oshiomhole to be an oppositional lawmaker—not due to vocal uproar but due to his steadfast dedication to advocating for the masses. His absolute dedication to this goal is his core constituency, which he unmistakably affirms through his actions.
You may have seen a trending video of Oshiomhole questioning the correctional services on why dogs are fed and cared for more than innocent individuals who are inmates.
We’ve watched footage of Oshiomhole’s contributions on the floor of the house, and all we can say is that Oshiomhole is a fearless leader who is a consistent, dogged warrior who is never ashamed of fighting for the ordinary man.
Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole is a beacon of unshakable loyalty to the common man in an arena often muddied by shifting agendas and transitory allegiances. His relentless advocacy, from the streets to the sacred halls of government, is a remarkable tribute to the enduring power of commitment and steadfast service to the public.
