Rivers Assembly Complex Demolition (VIDEO)
The political turmoil in Rivers State persists, with the demolition of the State House of Assembly Complex on Wednesday adding to the intrigue.
Concurrently, Governor Siminalayi Fubara presented the N800 billion 2024 budget estimates to the Edison Ehie-led group at the Government House.

It’s noteworthy that the demolition occurred at the same time as the budget presentation. Edison Ehie had been legally recognized as the Speaker of the House by the court.
The presentation of the budget was held at a hall in the Government House, apparently, due to the “renovation” work at the state assembly complex which started Wednesday morning.
The state government orchestrated the demolition of the complex. Bulldozers were deployed to the site at around 6 am on Wednesday, initiating the demolition process approximately two months after a fire incident had ravaged the complex.
