In a thought-provoking Facebook post on Thursday, February 8, 2024, Okwuluora lamented the perceived decline in acceptance of polygamy among women today, juxtaposing it with the apparent harmony of marriages in previous generations.

“Our Fathers married 3 to 10 wives and all of them loved each other & also maximum respect for the husband! Ladies of today can’t even stand a second wife. Anya Ufu. Where una learn this wickedness from. Your Mothers were so good & accommodating. This is so SAD,” he wrote, expressing his dismay.

Okwuluora’s commentary reflects a nostalgic view of traditional values, where polygamous unions were purportedly characterized by mutual respect and harmony among spouses. He bemoaned what he perceives as a departure from these values in contemporary society, suggesting a deterioration in women’s attitudes towards polygamy.

The broadcaster’s remarks have sparked debate on social media platforms, with some endorsing his perspective while others challenge the notion of romanticizing past marital practices. Nevertheless, Okwuluora’s commentary serves as a reminder of the evolving dynamics in relationships and societal norms, prompting reflection on the intersections of tradition and modernity in contemporary culture.
