The presiding magistrate, Mrs. Monisola Kamson, responded to the prosecution’s plea by ordering the remand of the suspects at the Federal Correctional Centre in Ilorin. The decision to remand the accused ensures their confinement pending further legal proceedings, with the case adjourned until March 5, 2024, for continued examination.

The murder of Oba Olusegun Aremu-Cole, which occurred during a violent invasion of Koro town on February 1, sent shockwaves through the community and beyond. Alongside the tragic loss of the monarch, his wife, Olori Iyabo Aremu, was abducted during the same incident, amplifying the anguish and concern within the region.

As the case unfolds, the community awaits further developments in the quest for accountability and closure in the wake of this appalling crime.
