Igboho Calls On Yoruba Monarchs: Join Forces To Eradicate Banditry And Insecurity In Southwest

Renowned Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Igboho, issues a rallying cry to traditional rulers in the Southwest, urging them to unite in the fight against criminality and banditry plaguing the region.

In a bold statement, Igboho pledges to work hand in hand with Yoruba monarchs to decisively tackle the scourge of insecurity that has plagued the Southwest for far too long.

Expressing deep concern over the devastating impact of insecurity on lives and livelihoods, Igboho emphasizes the urgent need for collaborative efforts to restore peace and stability to the region.

“I welcome the idea,” Igboho declares, “and assure them that I will do my best to checkmate incidents of insecurity, provided I receive the backing of the relevant security agencies, Yoruba monarchs, and other stakeholders.”

Highlighting the dire consequences of insecurity, including the farmer-herder crisis and widespread destruction of farmlands, Igboho underscores the imperative to rid Yorubaland of criminal elements wreaking havoc in communities.

“We need to flush out these criminal elements,” Igboho asserts, “who have occupied our forests and are using them as launch pads to jeopardize the peace in our communities, towns, and villages.”

With unwavering resolve, Igboho extends a hand of solidarity, expressing readiness to lend his support to the collective effort to secure the Southwest and safeguard the well-being of its people.
