Governor Sani Vows To Rescue Abducted Students In Kuriga, Kaduna

During his visit to the affected community to express solidarity, Governor Sani assured residents of the full support of President Bola Tinubu and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, in the rescue efforts.

While the exact number of abducted children remains unconfirmed, Governor Sani urged the community to remain calm and collaborate with the government to ensure the safe return of the students.

Additionally, Governor Sani announced plans to establish a security committee in Kuriga and advocated for the establishment of a military base in the area to bolster security measures.

He stated, “A Security Committee will be set up in Kuriga, comprising key stakeholders from the community, security agencies, and the state government. I will strongly advocate for the establishment of a Military Base in Kuriga to enhance security.”

Subsequently, in a statement, Governor Sani emphasized the necessity of state police, citing the Kuriga incident as a poignant example. He asserted that with state police, communities like Kuriga would have a dedicated police force familiar with local dynamics and empowered to effectively combat criminal activities.
