The Dan-Agundi Transmission station, a critical link in Kano City’s power supply chain, is currently shrouded in smoke.

At present, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and residents are anxiously awaiting the arrival of firefighters to extinguish the flames.

Authorities have confirmed that the ongoing fire is causing damage to high-capacity transformers, with emergency responders yet to arrive at the scene.

As of the time of this report, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has not released an official statement regarding the incident.

This development could worsen the already unstable power supply situation in the country.
