This call for calm follows closely after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) declared on Saturday night that it had executed multiple unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks targeting Israel.

Egypt’s foreign ministry, in a statement posted on X, emphasized, “Egypt views the dangerous escalation unfolding in the Iranian and Israeli arena as a direct consequence of the concerns Egypt has consistently raised. Egypt is actively engaged with all relevant stakeholders in efforts to de-escalate the situation, halt the spiral of tension, and safeguard the region from the perilous brink of instability, thereby protecting the interests of its populace.”
