ten senior police officers have been reprimanded for unauthorized disclosure of official secrets, dishonesty, and other unprofessional conduct. The Commission also issued nine additional reprimands, while a Deputy Commissioner of Police was acquitted and exonerated.

The recent decisions stem from the second Plenary Meeting held at the PSC’s Corporate Headquarters in Jabi, Abuja, where comprehensive disciplinary measures were addressed.

DIG Hashimu Argungu, Chairman of the Commission, stressed the importance of discipline within the Nigeria Police Force to ensure officers uphold their constitutional duties of law enforcement and public protection.

These measures come in response to recommendations on Police Promotions, which saw significant advancements for many senior officers, including promotion to higher ranks.
