Speaking at a media briefing after an inspection of the bridge, Kesha emphasized that the Honourable Minister had directed her to clarify that there are no issues with the bridge’s safety. She condemned those spreading the false information as troublemakers, warning that the rumors were aimed at creating unnecessary panic.

“The integrity of the bridge remains intact. It’s the same bridge that Lagosians, officials, and I use daily,” Kesha stated. She called on Nigerians to disregard the unfounded claims and continue using the bridge with confidence.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety of the bridge, emphasizing that no structural issues have been found.
