Ini disclosed that she underwent multiple IVF procedures and experienced six miscarriages before deciding on surrogacy as a way to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother.

In a candid conversation during the reality show Young Famous & African, Ini was questioned about her child’s paternity. When asked if she was married, she responded, “No.” Her co-star, Nadia, pressed further, asking if the child’s father was still in the picture, to which Ini replied, “He’s not dead. He doesn’t have anything to do with us. We’re just two people. Just me and my child.”

Ini opened up about her journey to motherhood, saying, “My journey is one that I have not really been wanting to talk about because it’s personal.” She explained that she raised her daughter alone, choosing surrogacy as a path when traditional pregnancy wasn’t an option. “There was no man in my life at the time, and I wanted to have a child. There are different ways to go about that.”

She shared that she never expected to have fertility issues but faced difficulties with carrying pregnancies long-term. “When it looked like it was not going to happen the way I wanted it to and I wasn’t getting younger, I said, ‘What are the options available to me?’ And then, this option came up, so I took it.”

Ini added, “I’m very happy with my decision,” expressing contentment with the path she chose to become a mother.

Later, co-star Luis discussed his research on surrogacy and his own potential interest in exploring it. Ini questioned his decision, asking why he would choose surrogacy when he has a girlfriend, pointing out that surrogacy isn’t something most people pursue lightly.
