Osun APC Reveals Originators Of Oyetola Fake Campaign Posters

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied claims that Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has expressed interest in the 2026 governorship election…READ MORE…

Posters promoting Oyetola for the upcoming election appeared in various parts of Osogbo on Monday, sparking speculation that the former governor might be considering a run for the APC ticket.

In response, APC’s Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, issued a statement declaring that the posters are a deliberate attempt to create discord within the party.

He stated, “We have identified the source of these counterfeit posters and their purpose—to destabilize the party and incite chaos that simply does not exist.”

Expressing disappointment as the leading opposition party in Osun State, Olabisi remarked that the anonymous individuals behind this unacceptable act lack subtlety, likening them to the proverbial witch that cries at night while a child dies in the morning. “The connection is obvious to all,” he added.

The party emphasized that Oyetola did not commission or authorize any campaign posters.

“The state leader of our party and immediate past governor of Osun has not printed any promotional materials for political ambitions, nor has he authorized their distribution. The Minister did not instruct anyone to produce or disseminate posters on his behalf for any political, social, or economic agenda.

“The creation and distribution of these posters are nothing but a propaganda effort initiated by political adversaries aimed at damaging Oyetola’s reputation among APC members and supporters in Osun State.

“We take satisfaction in knowing that the metaphorical arrow shot by these agents of discord has missed its mark. More fabricated stories can be expected from politicians who are still grappling with their removal from the progressive party,” the statement concluded.

Olabisi reiterated that the APC remains dedicated to its core values of the rule of law, fairness, and justice, and will steadfastly adhere to the principles that have guided its governance approach.
