Ajayi made this statement while hosting Muslim and Christian clerics for Iftar (the breaking of fast) over the weekend in Abuja. The event was also attended by less privileged individuals and people with special needs.

Speaking at the event, Prof. Abubakar praised Ajayi for his bridge-building efforts, noting that, despite being the son of a Christian cleric, he brought together Muslims and Christians for a shared meal during Ramadan.

Christian Leaders Commend DSS Boss

Leaders from CAN and the Catholic Church lauded Ajayi’s leadership, stating that his commitment to unity and security has contributed to making Nigeria safer.

Reverend Canon Smart Simon and Reverend Saboyaro Adams urged other security agencies and national leaders to emulate Ajayi’s example of fostering religious peace and unity.

Ajayi’s Response

Ajayi emphasized that, despite being a Christian, it has become his tradition to identify with Muslims during Ramadan as a gesture of love, peace, and solidarity.
