Wike Explains Why Tinubu Has Nothing Left To Worry About
According to Ireporter Online, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu can afford to sleep peacefully, citing what he described as the visible impact of his administration’s projects in Abuja and across the country.
Wike made the remarks on Wednesday during the official inauguration of Arterial Road N5 in Abuja, where he also challenged critics within the FCT to step forward if they have not experienced any positive changes under the current administration.
He maintained that if good governance and visible reforms are used as benchmarks for political success, then President Tinubu has already made a strong impression in the nation’s capital.
According to him, the level of ongoing development work in the FCT reflects meaningful governance, insisting that residents should be able to acknowledge the government’s presence through infrastructure delivery.
Wike further recounted challenges encountered during the road construction process, noting that the contractor, Julius Berger, initially faced resistance from members of the host community who claimed they had not been compensated for demolished structures, a situation that temporarily affected progress on the project.
