Ruger Returns To Music Following Legal Dispute With Former Partner
Afrobeats star Ruger is preparing for a return to the music scene after a legal dispute involving a former partner temporarily halted the release of new projects, according to a statement issued by his management.
The singer’s record label, Blown Boy Entertainment, disclosed on Wednesday that Ruger had been dealing with personal challenges after a former romantic partner filed a lawsuit alleging emotional distress and seeking damages. The legal proceedings reportedly prevented the artiste from focusing fully on his music career for an extended period.
According to the management, the matter has now been resolved, allowing the singer to concentrate entirely on creating new music and preparing upcoming projects. The label described the development as the beginning of a fresh chapter, expressing confidence that fans can expect exciting releases in the near future.
The statement also revealed that Ruger has been actively working behind the scenes during his absence and is ready to reconnect with audiences through new music and live performances.
Blown Boy Entertainment expressed appreciation to supporters who remained loyal throughout the singer’s hiatus, noting that their patience and encouragement played a significant role during the challenging period.
In addition to confirming his musical comeback, the label unveiled Ruger’s summer tour schedule, which includes performances across Belgium, Málaga, Bali, Malawi, and the United States. Fans were urged to look forward to what the artiste has in store over the coming months.
Ruger, whose real name is Michael Adebayo, established Blown Boy Entertainment in January 2024 after parting ways with Jonzing World, marking a new phase in his career that the label says is now gaining fresh momentum.
