Today’s Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate – June 8, 2026
The Nigerian foreign exchange market continued to witness a gap between the official and parallel market rates, with the Dollar exchanging at ₦1,400 for selling and ₦1,390 for buying in the Lagos parallel market on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
According to Ireporter Online, currency traders and Bureau De Change (BDC) operators quoted the United States Dollar at ₦1,400 for sellers, while buyers exchanged the currency at ₦1,390 in the black market, popularly known as the Aboki FX market.
At the official market, data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed the Dollar trading within a range of ₦1,360 to ₦1,366. The apex bank has consistently maintained that it does not recognize transactions conducted in the parallel market and has advised individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange to obtain it through authorized financial institutions.
The CBN’s official exchange rates recorded a highest rate of ₦1,366 and a lowest rate of ₦1,360 for the Dollar against the Naira.
Market observers, however, noted that foreign exchange rates remain subject to fluctuations depending on location, demand, and supply, meaning the actual rates at which traders buy or sell currencies may differ from prevailing market quotations.
