Nollywood actor Olatayo Amokade, popularly known as Ijebu, has made an emotional appeal to his family, friends, colleagues and associates to forgive him for any offence he may have committed against them.

According to IREPORTERONLINE, the actor made the appeal on Monday following the death of veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, who died on Sunday at the age of 66 after battling cancer.

In an emotional video shared on his Instagram page, Ijebu said Ogogo’s death had caused him to reflect on the uncertainty and brevity of life.

The actor disclosed that he had been awake since 6am because of the emotional weight he was carrying, describing his heart as heavy.

Ijebu used the opportunity to apologise to anyone he may have offended, whether within the entertainment industry or outside it, and pleaded for forgiveness.

He specifically appealed to his seniors, colleagues, workers and younger actors to overlook his shortcomings and forgive him for any wrongdoing.

The actor also extended forgiveness to those who may have offended him, saying he wanted to make peace with everyone and free himself from the burden of resentment.

Ijebu stressed that life is too short for people to remain divided or hold grudges against one another, urging people to resolve their differences while they still have the opportunity.

Reflecting on Ogogo’s passing, he noted that human beings would eventually leave the world without taking material possessions with them.

He therefore encouraged people to embrace forgiveness, reconciliation and peace rather than allowing disagreements to become prolonged conflicts.
