Did You Cry Hot Tears?” — Isbae U Teases Obasanjo Over Aso Rock Exit

Nigerian content creator Isbae U and former President Olusegun Obasanjo engaged in a playful but pointed exchange during an interview on the creator’s “Curiosity Made Me Ask” programme.

According to reports, the conversation touched on Obasanjo’s appearance, military background and experience as Nigeria’s former president, with both men trading humorous remarks throughout the interview.

The exchange began after Obasanjo commented on Isbae U’s hairstyle, saying, “For my part of the world in the village where I come from, na woman dey make hair like you make your hair.”

Isbae U responded with a joke about Obasanjo’s baldness, telling him, “Maybe if you had hair, you would have made your own.”

Obasanjo appeared to take the remark in good humour, removing his cap and replying, “Maybe you’re right.”

Before the interview formally began, Isbae U also asked the former president how he preferred to be addressed.

When the content creator suggested calling him “Seggey,” Obasanjo jokingly warned him against using the nickname.

“Call me that and you’ll see what I’ll do to you,” Obasanjo said.

Isbae U then challenged the former military officer, insisting that he was old enough to make his own decisions.

“You can’t tell me what to do, I’m a grown man,” he said.

Obasanjo responded by reminding him of his military rank, saying, “I get rank. I’m a general.”

The exchange continued with Isbae U claiming that Obasanjo was the first soldier he could take on one-on-one.

“I think you’re the first soldier I can take one on one,” he said.

Obasanjo accepted the challenge in the same playful spirit, asking, “Do you want to take me one on one right now?”

Isbae U later shifted the conversation towards Obasanjo’s time as president, making a humorous reference to his departure from office after eight years.

“Did you cry hot tears when they told you to pack your load from Aso Rock after I fed you for eight years?” Isbae U asked.

The remark added another layer of humour to the lively exchange, with the former president appearing to take the comments in stride as the interview continued.
