Ogogo’s Family Breaks Silence, Debunks Viral D**th Rumour

The family of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that the actor has died.

According to Ireporter Online, the 66-year-old actor became the subject of a death rumour shortly after his daughters, Lima and Kira Taiwo, appealed for medical assistance for their father.

The actor’s daughters had disclosed that Ogogo is battling stage-four cancer and is currently in critical condition. They appealed to Nigerians and medical professionals who could help secure appropriate treatment, stressing that the family was seeking medical intervention rather than financial assistance.

The health disclosure subsequently triggered speculation across social media, with a Facebook user claiming that one of Ogogo’s daughters, Haleemah Taiwo, had announced his death after several hospitals allegedly declined to continue treating him.

The claim quickly gained traction online before being strongly rejected by Lima Taiwo.

In a post shared on Instagram, Lima described the report as completely false and urged members of the public to stop circulating unverified information about her father.

“This is false!!!!!!! This is false!!!!! This is false!!!!! This is false!!! THIS IS FAKE… PLEASE STOP SPREADING FAKE NEWS,” she wrote.

The family has consequently appealed to the public to rely on verified information and avoid spreading unconfirmed reports about the veteran actor’s condition.
