JUST IN: Dollar-To-Naira Rate For June 10, 2026 Revealed
The latest figures from the parallel foreign exchange market indicate that the Nigerian naira maintained its position against the United States dollar, with traders in Lagos exchanging the currency at ₦1,400 per dollar for selling and ₦1,390 per dollar for buying on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
According to market information obtained from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators, the black market, commonly referred to as the Aboki FX market, continues to serve as an alternative platform for foreign exchange transactions despite operating outside the official regulatory framework.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has consistently maintained that it does not recognize transactions conducted in the parallel market and has advised individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange services to patronize authorized commercial banks and licensed financial institutions.
Meanwhile, official CBN data showed the dollar traded within a range of ₦1,359 and ₦1,363 during the same period. The highest recorded official rate stood at ₦1,363, while the lowest was ₦1,359.
Foreign exchange dealers also noted that rates in both the official and parallel markets remain subject to fluctuations based on location, demand, supply, and prevailing market conditions, meaning the actual buying or selling price may differ from quoted figures.
